The initial release of Trend Micro Internet Security 2008 has some compatibility issues with Microsoft Vista Service Pack 1 and XP Service Pack 3.

1.             During installation of my Trend Micro product I received a notification that it is not compatible with the new service pack of Microsoft, what should I do?

 

Please visit our website and download the most up to date software version. (Make sure keep a note of your serial number before installation).

 

 

2.             I have just purchased a new copy of Trend Micro Internet Security how will I know that my installer will work under the new service pack of Windows Vista?

 

If you have purchased a new copy of Trend Micro Internet Security from our website, you should have a latest version of the product.

To check if you have the latest version of this component click on the following within your software:

 

i.              Open the main console

ii.             Click on Other Settings button

v.             Scroll through the component name list and check the version numbers of:

If the above components are a lower version firstly try performing an update to the software. If these components remain unchanged uninstall and reinstall to the latest version from the Trend Micro website.

 

6.             It was mentioned on the Microsoft website that Trend Micro will release 16.1, when will this be available to customers?

 

This version of the Trend Micro Internet Security was released early April and has been made available to customers through the download centre on our website. This version will also be pushed out to all customers by automatic update in late May 2008.
